Weekend getaway at Bintan
& hopefully, not the last getaway for us this year.
Thanks to SBSTransit, kitten & I were able to travel to Bintan once again to celebrate our 11th month anniversary.

This time, it was a different experience from our last trip. We were able to do an early check in during this off-peak period, and the weather was perfect for us to enjoy the beaches. And boy, it was a beauty. You have to feel it to believe it.

We lazed at Pasir Panjang Beach Bar for lunch, so that we could eat while enjoying the sea breeze at the same time. Slightly more expensive than the norm if you include their taxes, but hey, at least we’re getting a free room.

Our milkshakes brings all the boys to the yard…

No EPL in Bintan, so we have to make do with this…
Our initial plans was to go to Pasir Oleh Oleh for our dinner & night activities, but we were told by one staff that the 1st bus only leaves at 3.35pm…only to be corrected by the front desk that 3.35pm is the last bus…and we only knew it at 4pm!
So instead, we’ve dined at Orzo Restaurant, which was pretty decent value-for-money, with prices similar to a normal meal in a Singapore restaurant. Recommended if you run out of cup noodles.

Preparing the salad in front of our very eyes…

Viola!

Mmm, yummy.
We also taught each other a new game: I’ve taught her darts, which I learnt during my Uni days, while she showed me archery, which was a pretty fun experience. It cost $9 for 20 arrows, and there were 2 guides to teach us the basics on how to hold the bow & hit our targets.

Ok, so I wasn’t that well-dressed…
Doubt we’ll be back that soon, but at least it’s been a lovely & memorable weekend for the both of us.
Love ya, dear. *muacks*

Weekend Getaways…ahhh, this is the stuff that puts a spring in your step and a smile on your face. You work hard during the week and may look forward to just relaxing on the weekend. Weekend getaways are for everyone, be it a sole escape, a romantic hide-away, a friends get-together, or a family adventure.
